Magic does happen

This is my first time blogging, so I am not really sure what I am doing, so whomever reads this, please be patient.

This blog is about my husband Kelly and I and how God has blessed us in bringing us together. We both have been divorced for serveral years, we met years ago at work and I actually was friends with this ex-girlfriend. Through out the course of 10 years, our paths crossed many times with out us realizing it. When I divorced, I moved into an apartment complex and he lived next door to me. I remember seeing him as he jogged daily, but never talked to him. Then my ex-boyfriend and I moved to another complex and he and his girlfriend lived across the way from us in the same complex!

When I went back to work  for the same company again, we ran into each other once, but I couldn't remember his name. Finally, I decided to go the gym and he happened to be there, I didn't see him, but he saw me. One day, I was in my office (Which was his old office) and he came running by and I couldn't remember his name and I didn't want to yell, "Hey you"! so he went through the doors. A missed opportunity, but thank God, he came back through the door and leaned up on the door frame and asked me if I had joined the gym which I said, "Yes". When I met him at the gym he practically did my work out for me, and afterwards, we went to dinner and that was the start of our relationship.

We dated almost a year and at Christmas time, we went to Pokagon State Park in Angola IN (that is where we had our first "real" date) and we hiked the snowy trails, and had a nice dinner at the Potowattomi Inn. After dinner, he wanted to walk down by the lake, and at that time, it was pitch dark so we walked up on the deck which was lit up for Christmas. He took my hand, got down on one knee, in the snow and proposed to me. I was so shocked, my mouth was opened but nothing came out. He told me that my silence was scaring him and I told him, "Yes! I will marry you"!!!

We planed our wedding for May 2006. My brother, sister in law and neice drove us up to Chicago to Korea town and that is where I got my wedding dress and they got their dresses as well. The day of our wedding was picture perfect, the sun was out, the temps were wonderful. We had a small intimate wedding with family and friends and the reception followed downstairs in the church.

We both knew that after we said our vows to God and our friends and family that we were truly meant to be together, because on that day, we married our best friend as well as soul mate.
